Would you like to have a say in impacting the offer care leavers are given by their leaving care authority, currently there are lots of discrepancies, some councils offer free gym facilities, some council tax discounts, some bursary for university and some ring fence apprenticeships.

Lots help really well with helping care leavers set up home, but many do not.

We are launching a new national website with the details of what every local authority in England provides to care leavers within their local offer. People will be able to compare for the first time.

We need care experienced people 18-25 to help us review and build up the local offer website that Terry Galloway has developed so that we can trigger systemic change in the care system.

You will impact the system, lives of others, plus our community will benefit, you will be at the cutting edge of systematic change and there will of course be some individual benefits all to be confirmed.

There is much to do including feeding into the recently announced review of the children’s social care system and of course plenty around influencing manifesto promises for the local elections that are taking place in May 2021.
