Care leaver jobs program

We are absolutely committed to getting young people paid work so that they can experience multiple types of employment. At Norman Galloway Homes we believe in breaking down barriers and reducing stigma of care experienced people. We think that working helps young people develop valuable meaningful relationships that they can take into adulthood. During Covid-19 we placed 180 young people into Kickstart jobs. This meant recruiting employers, young people and supporting them during 6 month fully subsidised work placements.  Kickstart was a government initiative that paid employers a support grant and wage subsidy of 25 hours per week for 6 months.
